Formation and Growth Behavior Analysis of Slagging Rings in Rotary Kiln-Type Hazardous Waste Incineration Systems

Rotary kiln incineration technology has the advantages of strong material adaptability and a simple treatment process been widely used in hazardous waste treatment. However, actual caused problems such as ring formation system due to lack research on slagging mechanisms. In this paper, phenomena occurring second half rotary kiln, exit flue secondary combustion chamber, wall quench tower are analyzed discussed detail through characterization methods. The results indicate that adhesion low-melting alkali metal salts refractory surface is key factor forming initial layer. growth ring, formed liquid phase can bond residues different sizes together form dense embryo body sintering. deposition solidification molten/semi-molten fly ashes cause chamber. phenomenon inner belongs “crystalline-coalesce-hardening” inorganic precipitating out high-salt wastewater.
